One of the works of Juhe Design: Jinling Kindergarten
Jinling Kindergarten, with a construction area of 14000 square meters, has five classrooms (food and education workshop, woodworking workshop, green pottery workshop, family workshop and reading room) and corridors. Except for reading room, the rest are on the first floor.
The original separation of the building is relatively traditional, and the corridor is isolated from the classroom. The school gives children great freedom for these five parts of the curriculum, so that they can choose any of them according to their own interests. Accordingly, the corridor connecting the four classrooms is designed as an open and free "connector".
Each classroom has two doors of different sizes. Almost all the children will enter the classroom curiously and consciously through the small doors. The circular holes on the wall become a small world for children to play and read books. Through these circular holes and the circular glass on the door, the corridor can form visual communication with the classroom, and the children's class can be seen in the corridor. The wall surface breaks the original symmetrical dullness through the inclination of one side.
